Two news stories we could do without

by ray goodlass

According to Aljazeer TV news yesterday , President Obama will visit Israeli PM Netanyahu (in Israel), but mainly to talk about Syria. Unfortunately Palestine appears to be low on the agenda, but it would be wonderful if he was to revert America’s spineless unwavering support (over $8 m per day) of Israel and make continued US aid contingent on a just peace being implemented. And pigs will fly.  Wouldn’t it be good instead if the story read that he was going to visit Abbas in Ramallah?

Also, a story in the online ‘Occupied Palestine’  that Israeli settlers have stormed the Al Aqsa mosque on Jerusalem’s Temple Mount, apparently to make a film to bolster their (false) claims about the Second Temple. Yet more Israeli writing Palestine out of its own history.
