More bad news from Palestine, but promising ‘Ambassador for Palestine ‘ role news

by ray goodlass

Today news that the Isaelis have demolished shops at Al Aqsa mosque, and  have orchestrted more East Jerisalem evictions. Also newsx that the Palestinian hunger strikers condition is wsorsening.

And here in Australia the Prisoner X )Ben Zygier) story becomes vey confusing as to who knew what when. DFAT knew he had been arrested in February 2010, and that he suicided in December that year. As Foreign Minister when did Kevin Rudd know? But at least the story may bring to the attention of some Australians how Israel operates.

Some good personal news, important for my ‘After the Peace Camp’ role as being an ‘Ambassador for Palestine’. I’m to present the second part of my Palestine talk/slide show to Sunrise Rotary next Tuesday. The Daily Advertiser is interviewing me for a featurec on the project next Momday. And at the Screening of ‘Bertween the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea’ last night the Multicultural Council  aslo asked me to give them and talk.

‘Betwwen the Devil and the Deep Blue Sea’ about refugees and their eventual boat trips to Australia screened here last night. It was quite good, but I found it something of a mish-mash that only achieved power in the ‘Miss\ing’ or ‘Drowned’ sequence towards tghe end – then it was excellent.
