More media coverage of Gaza’s Hamas leader Khalid Mishal in yesterday’s Sun-Herald seems to indicate a charm offensive is underway, lending some weight to the news I posted yesterday that he will move to replace Abbas and Fatah in the West Banks when the latter retires. That the charm offensive is underway could just be good propaganda, or an indication that he isn’t the Islamic fundamentalist terrorist that the Israeli’s paint him as being.
And also news from Occupied Palestine that Arafat Jaradat’s autopsy result clearly indicates that he died from Israeli torture. It is good to have the evidence, though how it will help the peace process remains to be seen, but unfortunately probably not at all, and as I haven’t seen it reported in the mainstream media it is unlikely to even influence public opinion.
